Engineered specifically for Bruce-type anchors and seamlessly compatible with our Classic series bowsprits, the P1301 pivoting anchor roller ensures smooth dropping and retrieval. The articulated rocker mechanism shifts the pivot point closer to the anchor’s center of gravity, allowing straight-shank anchors to tilt forward, clear the stemhead cleanly, and self-launch without catching on the bow.

The specified maximum anchor weight of 16 kg is determined by the physical dimensions and bulk of the anchor rather than the load capacity of the roller or bowsprit. While the high-grade stainless steel construction effortlessly supports heavy structural loads, a larger anchor features significantly greater physical bulk that makes manual handling, stowing, and line management considerably more difficult. Exceeding the recommended size creates clearance issues on the foredeck, increasing the risk of accidental contact and cosmetic damage to both the hull and the bowsprit during deployment and retrieval.
