How to choose davits
Eliminate the drag of a trailing dinghy and the clutter of loose ropes. A flexible and reliable davit allows you to secure your dinghy clear of the boat, keeping it tightly attached even while sailing. The clever construction ensures your sailing yacht’s total length is minimized, preventing any stern-heaviness. When combined with a bathing platform, effortless boarding and disembarking are guaranteed.

Step-by-step Guide
Dinghy in good company
Maximum flexibility for installation
Our davit systems are offered in three capacities: 50 kg, 100 kg, or 150 kg per arm. Critical to safety, it is imperative to account for extreme situations where the full loaded weight of your dinghy (including fuel, equipment, and outboard engine) could be borne by a single arm. Consequently, the total weight of your dinghy must not exceed the capacity of a single davit arm.
Furthermore, the davit models differ in length. You should assess the desired retrieval distance aft of your transom and the intended hanging height for your dinghy. The davit fittings provide versatile mounting options, allowing for vertical placement on your transom or horizontal placement on your deck.
Align the davit arm position with the dinghy’s lifting eyes
To optimize lifting efficiency and minimize stress on your boat, position the davits on your transom so that the lifting path is as vertical as possible.
In harmony with your boat
For a harmonious and balanced look, it’s essential to select davits that are proportionate to your boat and dinghy. Oversized or undersized davits can
detract from your vessel’s overall appeal.
Engineered to eliminate torque on your transom
Our davit design uniquely eliminates the need for transom reinforcement, a common requirement with traditional fixed davits. Engineered to handle only pulling and pushing forces, these davits prevent any torque on your transom. Best of all, they are quickly removable with a single bolt, effectively restoring your boat’s original deck length. This feature is particularly convenient for racing and can offer a significant advantage when negotiating moorage fees.
